About
The person behind the count.
I’m Andrei Vakulski, originally from Belarus and now living in Wrocław, Poland. I make Tally Counter for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android. It is a side project rather than my main business, and I work on it in my spare time.
The app
Tally Counter has been on the App Store and Google Play since February 2021, and more than 100,000 people have installed it. They count reps and laps, stock and visitors, knitting rows, prayers and game scores.
The app is translated into 18 languages, and so is this site. Inside the app you can vote on what gets built next.
How it is paid for
Counting, unlimited counters, folders, goals, history and CSV export are free, and no version of the app shows ads. Premium adds reminders, extra counter modes, detailed statistics, notes in the history and PDF export, as a monthly or yearly plan or a one-time lifetime purchase. Those purchases are the app’s only income: there is no advertising, and no data is sold to anyone.
What stays on your device
There is no account and no sign-in, and counting works offline. Your counters, folders and history stay on your device. The app does measure how it is used, through PostHog, so that crashes get fixed and features earn their place. The privacy policy lists exactly what is sent, and what never is.
Other apps
I also make World Quiz: Flags & Capitals and the Zonk dice game, and they are all on my App Store developer page. On Google Play, my apps are published under the name Trekound.
