Is Tally Counter free?
Yes. Counting, unlimited counters, folders, goals, history and CSV export are free. You can keep using the free version for as long as you like.
What does Premium include?
Premium adds reminders, stopwatch and multiple-step modes, detailed statistics, notes in your history and PDF export. Choose a monthly or yearly plan, or make a one-time lifetime purchase. Your local price is shown in the app.
Does Tally Counter have ads?
No. Tally Counter has no ads, including in the free version.
Can I use it offline without an account?
Yes. You do not need an account or a sign-in, and counting works fully offline. A connection is only needed for things such as purchases and cloud backups.
Is my counting data private?
Yes. Your counters and counting history stay on your device. The app sends limited usage and crash telemetry to PostHog, including a random installation ID, device details and IP address; it never sends your counter contents. If you enable cloud backups, a copy is stored in your own iCloud or Google Drive account.
Can I back up my counters or move them to a new phone?
Yes. On Android, you can back up to Google Drive. On iPhone and iPad, you can back up to iCloud or save a backup file to iCloud Drive or the Files app, then restore it on your new device.
Can I count without opening the app?
Yes. Add a counter widget to your home screen, count from your Apple Watch, or use your phone’s volume buttons. The available options depend on your device.
Can I export my counts and history?
Yes. CSV export is included in the free version, so you can open your history in a spreadsheet or share it with someone else. PDF export is included with Premium.
Can I keep several counters at once?
Yes. The free version lets you create as many named, colour-coded counters as you need and organise them into folders. Each folder also shows a running sum of the counters inside it.
